xD I love this, and had to share this with the few peeps who actually read this blog.
So I was looking up guides on how to snowboard, to prep for my first snowboarding adventure in two weeks. I read two of them, and found some quotes that I found to be hilarious...
CHOSEN QUOTES FROM “HOW TO SNOWBOARD BLOGS”
“Get used to hobbling and falling.”
“This equipment will most likely be very unflattering. But hey, everybody’s butt looks big in snow pants ;)”
“When you walk up to the lift, having no idea what you are doing, don’t be surprised if someone comes over to you and shoves you on the lift when it comes by.”
“You will be lucky to get very far before you fall and crash many times. Do not be surprised if other beginners smash into you at times.”
“Give yourself 1 day bed rest after your snowboarding adventure, you will need it.” (ONE DAY? I have to go to school the day after…I hope I can function…)
“Don't worry; everyone falls down during this part until they get the hang of it.”
xD this makes me want to snowboard even more!!!
What was originally going to be a simply one day trip to Wachusett mtn is now a two day go visit a friend, stay at a family friend's house for the night, THEN go to Wachusett...xD I'll get fed, which is nice...
Oh, and I bought a light jacket (made with Gore Tex!!) and an awesome green striped hat to wear when I go snowboarding! So excited. Now all I need are gloves...

The Beginning
This blog will hopefully be a testimate to the long road ahead of me.
My goal?
To become a snowboarder...
I currently am a seinor in HS, have no official job (I tutor once a week and babysit).
I want to save up enough money to buy a board, then the bindings, then the boots, then to start snowboarding.
I have NEVER snowboarded before, so I'd like to track my journey with a sort of...journal-type-thingee...
Some of you may be asking, WHY do I want to learn how to snowboard? Why now? Well, I'm not exactly sure why myself. Currently, it's because I would love to have some kind of sport that I can do by myself, something to do to get out of the house in the winter. I love the snow, and I've always watched the snowboarders on tv, and thought to myself, why can't I learn how to do that? It's not an easy sport to learn, and through the endless spills, injuries, and bruises I will most likely gain, it will be a way for me to test my own spirit, to see what I'm truly made of.
And so begins the journey...
